Protect your Dogs in the Summer

Five Easy Steps to Keep your Dogs Happy in the Summer

  1. Don't ever leave your dog in the car.
  2. Make sure your dog has access to shade when outside, never leave in the straight out sun.
  3. Take walks during the cooler hours of the day and remember apshalt, black top and cement sidewalks can easily burn a dog's paws. Make sure to touch the surface first before having your dog walk on it.
  4. Check your dogs for ticks often. Dogs can get Lyme, Erlichiosis, and Bartonella from tick bites
  5. Make sure your dog has fresh water at all times.
